Germany’s Merits.
The first time that I went to Germany I remember being extremely impressed. The Germans have always been associated with efficiency and I found this to be very true.
One of the first things that I noticed about the country was just how clean it was. When you see a piece of litter over there it sticks out like a sore thumb! You could hardly say the same thing about England, could you? They seem to have waste disposal completely sorted; in the street they don’t just have one rubbish bin, but three for different types of rubbish!
When you speak to people in Germany they are far more driven than we are. This is not always a good thing because careers should not be the sole purpose of our lives but at the same time the German people are more inclined to get on with things than we are.
Everything in Germany seemed to ooze efficiency as far as I was concerned. When they have a system in place to get something done it works. If something is not successful then they will replace it with something that is.
The Germans are also well known for their industry. They create very high quality products and if you have a look at power tools, stereo systems or cars in England you will see that German brands are normally in the higher price bracket; their products are very respected in England.
I am sure that there are just as many problems over there as there are in our country. If you ask German people what they think of their country they will moan about all kinds of different things in much the same way as we do but for a visitor it can appear to be a far better place to live.
When I was there I discovered a really cool company called Enigin, they actually have offices here as well, but are great at energy efficiency for large corporations!
