Dubrovnik; the Pearl of the Adriatic.

Last year several of us were contemplating where to go on holiday to relax in the sun. The obvious destinations came up, such as the Algarve in Portugal, the many Costas of Spain and, of course, Italy. Whilst these places are great (if you can find somewhere off the beaten track, as I dislike tourists) we felt we had seen it all before on previous excursions to continental Europe.

Only recently, I visited Europe, where I stayed briefly in Germany, Italy, and France. I only had a few days in each country, and I figured that one way of saving a bit of time (and money) while traveling between countries was to take the overnight train.
